Marsh, the world's leading insurance broker and risk adviser, has appointed Flavio Piccolomini as CEO of Marsh Italy and Emanuele Cordero di Vonzo as general manager of its operations in the country.

Mr. Piccolomini joins Marsh from Willis, where he was CEO for Continental Europe. He served with Willis for 18 years and held a variety of senior positions at the firm, including global head of Financial Institutions, Professional Risks and M&A in London before returning to Italy in 2004.  

In his role as general manager for Italy, Mr. di Vonzo is responsible for Marsh's business management and development activities in Italy. Previously, he was head of Marsh's Risk Management Practice in Italy.
