Marsh, the world's leading insurance broker and risk advisor, has appointed Susan Blankenburg as Public Entity Practice Leader for the U.S.

Ms. Blankenburg, who has nearly 30 years of insurance industry experience, reports to Timothy J. Mahoney, Jr., president of Marsh's Global Risk Management division. She joined Marsh in 1980 and has specialized in public sector business for the past 22 years. During her career, she has been involved in the creation of numerous self-insured pools and has been instrumental in the development of innovative risk and insurance solutions for public entities. She also has analyzed alternative property, earthquake and flood programs to satisfy bond issuance requirements.

Ms. Blankenburg is affiliated with the Public Risk Management Association (PRIMA) and is a frequent speaker at its conferences. She also is affiliated with the Public Agency Risk Management Association (PARMA) and the California Association of Joint Power Authorities (CAJPA).
