Marsh, the world's leading insurance broker and risk adviser, announced today the appointment of industry veteran Michael Anderson as President of its U.S. Construction Practice as part of its continued efforts to aggressively target emerging opportunities in the global construction industry.

Mr. Anderson brings more than 25 years of construction risk management experience to Marsh. He joins from Willis, where he was the surety practice leader in the firm's U.S. construction practice. At Willis, Mr. Anderson's responsibilities included management and business development of construction surety; he also played important roles in the development of the firm's international surety business and Willis' local construction team in Philadelphia. Prior to Willis, Mr. Anderson spent 15 years as a surety underwriter, at St. Paul Seaboard Surety and Reliance Surety.
