Marsh, the world's leading insurance broker and risk advisor, today announced the appointment of Elizabeth Nieto to the newly-created role of Global Head of Talent, Learning and Diversity. Reporting to Laurie Ledford, Chief Human Resources Officer, she will be responsible for further developing and implementing the firm’s strategies in these areas throughout the organization.
Ms. Nieto joins Marsh from Citigroup, where she held senior Human Resources roles in the U.S. and Argentina over 20 years. For the last seven years, she was Global Talent Management, Diversity and Employee Programs Director, a role in which she was responsible for succession planning, development of high-potential colleagues, and diversity, as well as employee recognition, giving and scholarship programs for the global functions.
"This appointment is further demonstration of our commitment to making Marsh a great place to work for outstanding people and to colleague development," said Ms. Ledford.
"Elizabeth's international experience and long history of working on global teams will bring the broad perspective needed to this critical role. In addition, her deep human resources knowledge, with a heavy focus on talent development, will enable her to bring substantial expertise and an array of best practices to Marsh," she added.
