Melissa Carmichael of Marsh, the world's leading insurance broker and risk advisor, has been named to Business Insurance's 2010 "Women to Watch" list.Ms. Carmichael, a managing director and New York Metro Practice Leader for Marsh's Financial and Professional Services (FINPRO) division, was among 25 insurance industry leaders identified by Business Insurance. The "Women to Watch" program recognizes individuals doing exceptional work in risk management, benefits management, commercial insurance and related fields.

Ms. Carmichael is responsible for client relations, new business development, and colleague retention, development, and recruitment for Marsh's FINPRO Practice in New York. She is a co-founder of Marsh's Women's Executive Business to Business Network (WEBB), a networking group for Marsh colleagues and clients, and is a founding member of Marsh's Diversity Council. Ms. Carmichael joined Marsh in 1995 and holds an MBA from New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
