CLAIMS

The Marsh claims practice provides prompt, knowledgeable management of your claim during the full life cycle of the process. This service is included as part of our day-to-day responsibility to you and is, in fact, one of Marsh’s most important functions. Our job is to provide expert claims service to our clients should the need ever arise.

Our Claims Expertise








To achieve this goal, the claims consultant focuses on four main duties:

1. Advocacy – representing your interest in the event of a loss;
2. Coordination – ensuring your interests are protected during the course of a claim;
3. Monitoring – forwarding documents and ensuring the claims process is running smoothly; and
4. Advising – informing you of developments.


We will work with you to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of your claims management program. Our services are tailored to your specific needs and will typically include:

  • Timely reporting of claims to insurers;
  • Assist in presentation of the claim (as required);
  • Provide detailed policy interpretations in response to Insurer positions;
  • Act as liaison between our clients and insurers/their representatives;
  • Assist in resolution of coverage issues when needed;
  • Assist in negotiation process with insurers/their representatives (as required);
  • Pursue interim payments;
  • Design and implement internal/external claims procedures;
  • Facilitate selection of third party administrators, lawyers, and other service providers; and
  • Provide presentations on claims-related topics.
